Ingredients – Quick jalapenos
- jalapenos
- peppers or carrots to make them spicy! (optional)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup apple vinegar (at least 5% acidity)
- I tablespoon salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
Alternative 1
- fresh basil leaves (Add in the jar and not together with the previous ingredients that go in the pot!)
Alternative 2
- dried oregano (Add in the jar and not together with the previous ingredients that go in the pot!)
Alternative 3
- parsley (Add in the jar and not together with the previous ingredients that go in the pot!)
Steps
- Boil the ingredients
- Place the jalapenos in the jar and whatever else you will be using! Carrots or peppers and whatever spices! – If you use basil, place it close to the walls of the jar cause it will look beautiful!)
- Fill the jar with the brine
- Put it upside down
- Store it in the fridge! I didn´t sterilize the jars, so it needs to be stored in the fridge
- Leave it in the vinegar before opening it at least 2 weeks!
- Consume it in 4-6 months.
