In the autumn one of the best smells that can come (and should come) from the oven is the cinnamon and the apples from an apple crumble!

Ingredients
For the crumble
- 3/4 of a cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
For the base
- 4 tablespoons butter in room temperature
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup self raising flour (or use normal flour with baking powder)
- 2 apples thin sliced
- raisins (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons of milk (I used oat milk but you can use whatever milk you want or even water)
Steps
- Warm the oven in 180 degrees Celcious
- Put butter and then flour in a baking pan, that is 18cm
- Prepare the crumble mixing all the ingredients together and leave aside
- For the base mix first the sugar and the butter until they are a cream
- Add the egg in the sugar and butter and when it is fully integrated add slowly the flour and the cinnamon
- In the end add the milk and when the mix is homogeneous add it in the baking pan
- Add the apples and in the end on top the crumbles
- You can add a bit of sugar and cinnamon on top of the crumbles for extra aroma!
