Sourdough soft sandwich bread

  • 120gr sourdough starter
  • 100ml milk
  • 20gr butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 175gr all purpose flour

  • Warm the milk together with the butter
  • Check that the milk only slightly warm is, otherwise you will kill your sourdough
  • Add the milk in your sourdough starter
  • Add the flour together with the salt
  • Mix well and knead for a couple of minutes
  • The dough is only a bit sticky. In case it is very wet or very sticky, add flour
  • Let the dough rest and in the first hour fold your dough a couple of times
  • The next hour fold it once more
  • When the dough will be double (depends highly on the temperature of your kitchen), form your bread
  • Butter the baking pan, that you want to bake it and place it directly in the form
  • Let it in the fridge overnight
  • The next day let the bread at least an hour to get room temperature
  • Bake in preheated oven in 180 degrees until it is golden brown on top, approximately for 30 minutes
