
Ingredients
- 250 g pasta capellini (I used a different kind cause I didn´t find capellini! But the original recipe has capellini!)
- 250 g sugar
- pinch of salt
- 15gr butter or lard
- 4 eggs
- 500ml milk
- 4ml of orange blossom
- 1 lemon zest grated
- 1/2 tablespoon cinammon
- a bit of lard or butter to cover the baking pan
- a couple of tablespoons of sugar to cover the baking pan
- 40gr optional candied orange or citron
- optional powdered sugar to serve
Steps
- Preheat the oven in 200 degrees Celcius
- Cook the pasta normally and drain them
- While they are warm add the sugar and lard and mix
- Let them cool down
- Add all the ingredients except for the milk in the pasta and let them rest for a couple of hours
- Add the mix in the baking pan (22-26cm) and bake in 180 degrees Celsius (so lower the oven 20 degrees) till the cake is golden (approximately 50 minutes)
- Serve it cold topped with powdered sugar
- It is better if you prepare it 1 day in advance
You could also use pasta from the previous day, if you do not cook them very salty.
