Vanilla and spices cake

Ingredients

  • 180gr all-purpose flour
  • 160gr sugar 
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 85gr orange pulp
  • Zest of 1/2 an orange
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon canola oil
  • 100ml water
  • 30gr sweet of spoon quince or orange or 1 handful raisins (optional)
  • powdered sugar and cinammon to serve

Steps

  • Mix all the dry ingredients
  • Add the oil, the orange pulp, the vinegar and mix
  • Add the water and mix
  • In the end add the quince or orange or the raisins if you are using
  • Bake for 35 minutes
  • Remove from the oven, place the cake upside down and bake it in 200 degrees, so that it gets crispy on top. This should be around 5 minutes
  • Serve it with a bit of powdered sugar and cinammon
