Pesto Sauce with a greek touch

Pesto served here with lentil pasta (GF)

Ingredients

  • 27gr basil leaves (I used also a small part of very thin
  • 10gr pine nuts
  • 50gr kefalograviera – grated (this is the Greek touch but you can use pecorino and parmigiano)
  • 1/3 of a garlic
  • 50ml olive oil
  • pinch of salt – you can adjust it according to your taste
  • 2 teaspoons cashews (optional – I use them on top of the dish before serving)
  • 6 cherry tomatoes in halves (optional – I use them on top of the dish before serving)

Steps

  • Mix all the ingredients together in the mixer
  • Serve it directly with pasta preferably but it is also delicious on bread!
