Nestled on the wild, untamed northern coast of Naxos lies Apollonas, a serene seaside village where ancient myth and pristine nature exist in perfect harmony. Named in honor of Apollo—the ancient Greek God of Light, Sun, Music, Archery, Dance, Prophecy, Healing, Poetry and Truth—this peaceful haven feels illuminated by the very same golden rays that inspired poets and travelers thousands of years ago. It is a place designed for those who wish to step off the grid, leave the modern rush behind, and immerse themselves in the slow rhythm of the Cyclades.
God Apollo was seen very often as the most beautiful god and the ideal of the kouros (a beardless, athletic youth), Apollo is considered to be the most Greek of all gods.

Apollonas is a seaside village in northern Naxos with 129 inhabitants. The village is 36,1 km from the center of Naxos and you can go there through the seaside road, which is the shortest one or you can go through the villages where its 43,6 km.

Apollonas of Naxos was formerly a port of call for ships operating the "barren line" of the Cyclades.
Today, Apollonas of Naxos has become a tourist resort with many beachfront taverns and cafes. There is a small pier serving mainly fishing boats and small yachts. The homonymous bay is wide enough for water sports and provides safety mainly in south and southwest winds.
The village carries the spirit of Apollo through its breathtaking landscape, historic marble roots, and its two beautifully contrasting shores:
• The Main Apollon Beach: In the very heart of Apollon village lies this welcoming embrace of Apollon Beach. Curving gently around the harbor, this beautiful shore offers a striking mix of soft sand and smooth white pebbles, washed by exceptionally clear, sparkling turquoise waters. Protected from heavy winds, it is the perfect spot for an effortless morning swim, a lazy afternoon sunbathe, or a sunset stroll before hitting the waterfront café-bars.
From our beachfront studio you need only seconds to reach this beach and from our apartments it is a 3 minutes stroll through the village path or a couple of minutes longer if you follow the coast with the breathtaking views.
• The Hidden Refuge of Aformoi Beach: For the adventurous soul seeking absolute solitude, a short trek over the rocky coastal landscape reveals the wild, hidden bay of Aformoi Beach. Tucked away from the main village paths, Aformoi is a dramatic, untouched cove where rugged cliffs meet deep blue waters. With no beach bars, sunbeds, or crowds, it offers a powerful sense of raw, natural energy—a secret sanctuary where you can listen to the raw melody of the Aegean waves in total peace.
The apartments of Yannis and Stella but also the beachfront studio in Apollon are 3 minutes walking from Aformoi or wild beach.

Furthermore it has the Kouros of Apollonas, also called as Colossus of Dionysus, which is a 10.7 meter tall unfinished statue of light grey Naxian marble with a weight of around 80 tones. It is located in an ancient quarry, a few minutes outside of the village Apollonas. The statue is a kouros dating from Archaic period of Ancient Greece, around the turn of the seventh and sixth centuries BC.
Last but not least, there are hiking rales that lead to the mountain "Kalogeros", which is east of the bay of Apollo and there lies the ruins of the "castle of Kaleros", which operated from prehistoric times to the Byzantine times and the Turkish occupation. A prehistoric tower with Cyclopean walls and some of the Byzantine installations are preserved.
