If you do not know what to do at Naxos, here we gathered some ideas for you!
Limnothalassa – lake that should still have water in April!
Sifones deserted village
Rutsuna´s waterfall
Cedar forest and a couple of beaches altogether
You could have a pic nic in that area and see a couple of beaches at the same day. These are easy to reach and you have a “fridge” in the house that you can take with you and pic nic stuff! There is also an area there, that is very interesting from scenery point of view. Dry and moonlike hills/stones.
Alyko beach, Naxos – a breath away from the abandoned hotel and the Cedar forest – with videos!
At the end of the post we have an underwater video as well!!! Please try to keep the beaches clean. Naxos is a big island and has lots of wild beaches, where you will find no bin to throw your garbage. Be prepared and ready to get your garbage with you. If you are so…
Hawai beach at Naxos
When you do not have to go far away to find tropical colors! This beach has very easy access and it has amazing colors! You have sand all along the beach and it is very close to Alyko beach and to the abandonded hotel. We have videos of both beaches. Enjoy! And here a video…

Glyfada beach – https://youtu.be/Ei-6refSeZU?feature=shared (there is one more Glyfada close to Ai Giorgis in the South east of Naxos https://yannisandstella.travel.blog/2022/09/09/ai-giorgis-beach-by-car-40-minutes-far-from-apollon/)
Cruise to Rina cave
You take the boat from Panermos beach.
Tickets to Rina Cave in Naxos Cyclades Islands (gialitissa.gr)
You could see the same day Moutsouna beach. Very interesting and you can see part of the route of the emery mines. DO NOT EAT IN THOSE RESTAURANTS. Drink something and you can take a tapa (mezes in Greek). Ask which fresh fish they have or if they have fresh fish.
Villages
The famous ones are Apeiranthos (with spectacular views to the sides of the mountain and a small natural history museum: https://maps.app.goo.gl/oSQPcMXAHAKESXjf8) and Filoti (with a super cute main square to drink a coffee).
We really like Danakos and Moni, that are really really small and very authentic.
Koronida, Koronos and Mesi keep being quite traditional. Be careful in Mesi there is nothing to eat or drink.
Chalkeio is very colorfoul with a fantastic place to buy a typical desert: Galaktobureko (https://maps.app.goo.gl/sWoiyqvajgRypJmMA)
