coffee, cocoa, chocolate and nuts cake

We make this easy cake when we have a bit of coffee, that is left over. It is an easy recipe and you only need 1 bowl and the baking tray.

Ingredients

  • 20gr of Ground Flax Seed
  • 30gr water
  • 120ml coffee
  • 2 eggs
  • 190gr spelt flour
  • 20gr cocoa
  • 4gr vanilla sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 80gr Sugar
  • 25gr Dark Chocolate
  • 30gr nuts (we used hazelnuts and almonds) in small pieces (for example a hazelnut cut in 2 pieces)

Steps

  • Preheat the oven in 175 degrees Celsius
  • Let the ground flax seed with the water a couple of minutes till it becomes like a gel
  • Add the coffee and the eggs and mix
  • Add all the rest of the ingredients
  • Butter a baking pan
  • Bake till a toothpick comes out clean. In our oven it needed approximately 40 min.
