Naxos is the house of lots of different animals. From small song birds, to big birds of prey, to rabbits and ferrets to goats and sheep’s that very often you can see on the streets of Naxos.
We kindly ask everyone on the island to drive carefully. Especially during the night with less visibility are all these animals in danger.
This is a very sad topic/post but it needs to be done cause the more people on the island, more cars frequent the streets and more animals die on the street.
We see unfortunately quite often dead snakes, marders and hedgehogs. It is really sad and hopefully people can pay a bit more attention, if they somehow see this post.
