Naxos excursion ideas – North-East interior part – Mesi – Koronida – Agios Georgios beach and Glyfada beach

Visit the Koronida (or Komiaki), then the really original village Mesi, which is very small and some of the beaches of that side (Agios Georgios or Ai Giorgis and Glyfada)

Koronida or Komiaki should not be confused with Koronos, which is another village. Koronida is build in the sides of the mountain in a 650m altitute. A very green village with cute coffee places.

Mesi is still a very traditional village where you cannot even find though a coffee place. It is a really small village.

Before Mesi starts the path that leads to the beach Ag. Georgios. It is a very small beach with pebbles and a very small church. You could go walking to the next beach, Glyfada. On your way to Ag. Georgios you will most probably see lots of birds with the highlights being eagles, vultures or falcons. This is a very cute beach but really inviting to dive into the Aegean sea.

Below you can find several posts of the areas/beaches that we mention in this post, so that you can get a deeper dive!
