The port and capital of Paros is Parikia and the ferry will arrive there but Naoussa, which has a bay as well is very famous and attracts lots of people due to the abundant night life. At Naoussa there is also the partially sunken venetian castle that is worth a visit.
Lefkes is a quiet and original village to visit. Maybe late afternoon is the best time. For a walk and a coffee with a sweet. You can also go hiking from Lefkes. Remember that July and August are quite hot and plan and organise well before going for hiking in the greek islands in the summer.
You cannot leave the island without visiting Kolibithres. It is a very special beach. With huge rocks and amazing colors. It is organised and probably will have a lot of people but it is really unique.
If you like kitesurfing then Pounta is your place. Windsurf in Chrisi Akti. Check out also Santa Maria and Nea akti for surfing and wind surfing. So lots of places for the adventurous travellers.
Paros used to be in antiquity one of the most famous places to get high quality marble. This marble is white and semi transparent.
Apart from the different ferries, you can reach Paros also with the plane since there is a small airport. The flight from Athens lasts just 35 minutes.

Antiparos
Antiparos is a small island that you can reach taking the ferry from Pounta at Paros and get there. Small but cute, it is very recommended that you visit it. It is just 10 minutes away from Paros.
The caves of Antiparos is a must. Somehow it feels unreal, that these caves are at an island. Very impressive and beautiful.
