
Ingredients
- 1 onion in small pieces
- 2,5 espresso cups thahanas (sour or sweet, we prefer sour in this recipe)
- 4 times water of the volume of trahanas, so 10 espresso cups
- good butter and freshly grounded pepper for serving
- red chilli pepper flakes (we call it bukovo in Greek) for serving
Steps
- Cook the onion till transparent
- Add the trahanas and mix
- add boiling water and let it cook for 15-20 minutes while you stir occasionally
- Season it with salt
- When it is ready add the butter on the dish and freshly grounded pepper
- serve it warm with red chilli pepper flakes
