
ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 espresso cup yellow splitted peas (and 5 times water, so 5 espresso cups water)
- 1/4 of a chicken broth cube
- 1 leaf bay
- salt
- freshly grounded pepper
- good quality olive oil
- Bukovo (optional)
steps
- Add at a frying pan olive oil and add the onion
- cut the carrot in small pieces and add it in the onion
- add the bay leaf
- cook till the onion is transparent
- add the fava, stir and add the water with the broth cube as well
- let everything cook till fava is soft and remove the bay leaf
- Purée everything together with one spoon lemon and add salt according to your taste. You could further add one more spoon of lemon
- serve with olive oil, freshly grounded pepper and optionally bukovo
