Green beans with carrots

Super easy, very healthy and can be served as a side dish but as well alone as it is, with some good quality olive oil, salt and freshly grounded pepper. Perfect for a dinner or if you just wish a light dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 2-3 carrots
  • beans for 2 people
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Steps

  • Cut the onion in stripes and cook it in a frying pan with olive oil in medium temperature
  • Peel the carrots, cut them and add them in the onion, when the onion is done
  • Prepare the beans (we cut the 1 end 1 cm) and add them in the carrots and onions and add boiling water
  • The water level should be above your vegetables
  • Boil them for 10 minutes
  • Serve them with oil, salt and pepper
  • The match pretty well with grilled fish or biftekia!
