Sunny side up egg with lemon – how our grandma used to do at Naxos

This fantastic and easy recipe brings always the same image of our grandma preparing it for us. Quick and different than the normal and usual fried egg! Try it! You will be positively surprised

Ingredients

  • Egg (preferably 0 class)
  • a bit of olive oil
  • lemon
  • water
  • salt
  • pepper

Steps

  • Add water and a tablespoon of olive oil to your frying pan
  • Put it in medium temperature and when is warm enough add the egg
  • You can be taking warm water from the pan and putting it on the egg to cook also the upper part
  • When the egg is almost done, splash fresh lemon juice on top of the egg
  • Serve it with a bit of extra olive oil, salt snd pepper
  • We like to eat it with sourdough bread! Below our recipe!
