Yorkshire sourdough pudding

The Yorkshire pudding is being celebrated on the first Sunday of February! Soooo, you have some days to prepare yourselves for this wonderful crispy and fluffy delight!

Ingredients

  • 100g sourdough
  • 2 eggs
  • 80ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 60gr flour
  • 8 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps

  • Put the sourdough in a bowl and add the eggs
  • Mix the dough well
  • Warm the milk a bit (if you want to “take advantage” of your sourdough, you should not make the milk hot, cause you will kill the sourdough)
  • Add the milk in the sourdough dough and mix
  • add the flour together with the sugar and the salt
  • It is better if you let the batter rest a bit or you let it in the fridge overnight
  • When you are ready to bake them, remove them from the fridge (in case you let them there overnight) half an our before baking them
  • Add in a muffin form baking pan in each muffin slot a tablespoon vegetable oil and place the baking pan in the oven
  • Preheat the oven (with the baking pan inside – we need the oil to be warm) in 225 degrees Celsius
  • When the oven is preheated, take out the muffin form and divide the batter in the 6 slots
  • Lower the temperature in 190 degrees Celsious and bake them till golden on top – around 25 minutes
