
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 300gr dried (uncooked/raw) chickpeas, rinsed, picked over and soaked for at least 8hours
- 1 onion
- ½ cup packed fresh parsley – leaves and stems
- ½ cup packed fresh cilantro – leaves and stems or 1 teaspoon dried
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Steps
- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius
- add all the ingredients in the mixer and grind them well
- make small patties (like 1-2 bites each one) – I make 16 normally
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes but flip the falafels after 15-20 minutes (when they are golden on the upper side), until the falafels are deeply golden on both sides
You can enjoy it with some pitas but they go very well in a buffet as well or like fingerfood.
