
The cafe frappe is a must in the summer. Cold with lots of ice cubes!
What you need:
- coffee for Frappe (1-2 teaspoons)
- ice cubes
- sugar – optional (1-2 teaspoons)
- milk – optional
- high glass
- straw (please use metal or bamboo or glass and not the one-use plastic ones)
Since you need to add the sugar during the preparation of the coffee, you need to specify from the beginning how much sugar you would like to have in your coffee. Here the types and you need to specify both points before ordering a greek coffee: the quantity and the sugar!
Depending on the sugar:
- Without sugar – skEhtohss – 1 full teaspoon coffee
- Semi sweet – mEhtreeohss – 1 full teaspoon coffee + 1 teaspoon sugar
- Sweet – ghleekOhss – 1 full teaspoon coffee + 2 teaspoons sugar
- with milk: you add the amount of milk you want but normally is like a shot the quantity
You can use a shaker or a special device like the one for milk froth/foam.
Steps for Shaker
- Add the water
- Add the coffee and the sugar
- Add also some ice cubes and shake it very well! A minute would be ideal!
- Add in the glass some ice cubes and the straw
- Add the coffee in the glass
- Add water some milk if you wish and enjoy
- Serve it with a glass of cold water!
Steps for Frappe Device
- Add the water
- Add the coffee, the sugar
- Mix the ingredients with the device
- Add in the glass some ice cubes and the straw
- Add the coffee in the glass
- Add milk (if you wish it with milk) and water and enjoy!
- Serve it with a glass of cold water!
Some people when the coffee is in the middle, add some water to make it a bit “longer”!
