Mulled wine cream – Glühwein Creme!

Ingredients

  • 100ml mulled wine (so it already had all the spices and the winter smells!)
  • 45gr sugar
  • juice of half an orange
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 20gr corn flour
  • 60ml creme fraiche
  • optional – whipped cream or vanilla cream in order to have some contrast

Steps

  • Add all the ingredients in a pot and mix them very well
  • Then turn on the fire in middle power and keep mixing the whole time
  • You should start feeling after a couple of minutes the changing of the texture
  • Turn off the fire as soon as you feel it like a thick cause it will keep on getting stiffer – the point is like the creme pattissiere
  • Cover it with membrane and let it cool down
  • You can use it in glasses like in the foto but also in pies!
