Dark chocolate sauce – cake decoration

Ingredients

  • 135gr dark chocolate
  • 60gr cream
  • 35gr softened butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rum or brandy

Steps

  • Place all the ingredients but butter and the alcoholic drink in a bowl and place it over a pot with slightly boiling water (bain-marie) till they are melted
  • Add the butter and the alcoholic drink and mix
  • It is recommended to use it a couple of minutes after you finish. If not, it will get stiffer but you can always warm it a bit and then decorate whatever you want.
  • It remains a bit soft and you can cut through it, cause it is not breaking.
