filled zucchini Flowers with bulgur

If you have zucchini plants, you can enjoy the zucchini flowers at least for a month period. Since our zucchini plants were very efficient this year, we have eaten a lot of them! It is always a pleasure.

So I actually used what I had in the fridge and it ended up being very tasty!

Ingredients

  • 10 zucchini flowers
  • 4 table spoons bacon
  • 4 table spoons Cheese (i used parmiggiano)
  • 4 table spoons sliced mushrooms (mine were frozen)
  • 1 greek cup of bulgur (I used 2 but was a lot for 10 flowers)
  • 3 table spoons sliced yellow zucchini
  • a bit of olive oil to fry
  • fresh herbs (I added parsley from my balcony but peppermint for exapmple matches fantastic)

Steps

  • Put the bacon with a bit of olive oil to fry
  • Add the mushroom to the bacon when it is fried
  • Open the zucchini flowers and remove the interior
  • Add the parsley and the bulgur and the correct amount of water according to your package of bulgur
  • Add the zucchini pieces when the bulgur is ready
  • When it cools down a bit, add the cheese and fill the zucchini flowers
